Golden Horse Presents Sterling EQ In Open Air Musical Picnic

Multiple award-winning, instrumental trio, Sterling EQ, will dazzle music fans with their inimitable talent in a special outdoor performance in the sprawling gardens of the Golden Horse on Saturday the 8th of June.

All-lady ensemble, Sterling EQ, is known for changing the face of instrumental music in South Africa and beyond with their extraordinary sound. The trio boasts three successful albums and a live DVD, three major music awards (SAMA, Tempo and Ghoema), over 700 live performances since 2007, and tens of thousands of followers worldwide.  They have performed in 11 countries for live audiences of up to 40 000, and on live television broadcasts to millions.

The band is made up of electric flautist Carina Bruwer who is also well-known for her record-breaking marathon swimming feats which include solo crossings of the English Channel and Gibraltar Straits; ace violinist Luca Hart and dynamic cellist Ariella Caira.  These three classically-trained virtuosos share dozens of awards, degrees and distinctions between them, as well as a passion for the latest beats and pop music trends.

Tickets to the event cost R100 per person for general seating. VIP seating is R400 and includes two tickets and a picnic basket. The event starts at 1pm, with local band, Beat Route, performing the prelude to Sterling EQ.
